The summer school “Surfaces and light” will take place at Saint-Étienne from 30th June to 28th July

Université Jean Monnet (UJM) is one of the members of Université de Lyon (UDL).   The Université de Lyon stands out for its alliance of public universities, grandes écoles (prestigious higher-education institutions with competitive entrance exams) and research institutions (such as the Laboratory Hubert Curien). Its academic and research programs are comprehensive and cover all scientific and artistic fields. Furthermore, the Université de Lyon gathers France’s leading schools for engineers, and is an exceptional cultural center: to choose the Université de Lyon is to choose excellence.

The summer school “Surfaces and light” is an initiative of the Laboratory Hubert Curien (see https://laboratoirehubertcurien.univ-st-etienne.fr/en/index.html) and of the EUR Sleight – “Surfaces Light Engineering- Health & Society” (see MANUTECH SLEIGHT Graduate School). The EUR Sleight is one of the two laureates at UDL for the Graduate Schools of Research (EUR) of the launched by the ANR (French National Research Agency) at the start of 2017. The initiative aims to bring together Master's and PhD programs, as well as one or more high-caliber research laboratories, ensuring that the projects cooperate strongly with research organizations, have a strong international outreach and maintain close links with economic players, wherever possible.
