Call for applications: SUEZ initiatives - Institut de France Award 2016

This Award recognises projects and innovations contributing to increase access to essential services - water, sanitation and waste management- for developing countries.

Two Awards of EUR 50,000 each will be presented at a ceremony to take place at the Institut de France:
-    The "Access to Essential Services" Award for an institution or non-profit organisation
-    The "Social Entrepreneurship" Award for a social entrepreneur in one of the areas covered by the Award.

Applications are invited from 15 September 2015 until 15 January 2016.

This Award represents a good opportunity to encourage innovations which support improved access to essential services and to highlight and make known useful projects.

The Fonds SUEZ initiatives is a SUEZ social commitment. 
Created in 2001, it has two main objectives:
•    Facilitate access to essential services – water, sanitation, waste management – for underprivileged populations in developing countries; 
•    Promote the economic and social integration of underprivileged populations in France through employment and training.
